Turbodynamics successfully participated at the Semicon Taiwan
In order to get closer to our Taiwanese customers Turbodynamics was a co-exhibitor on the Multitest booth.
Turbodynamics, one of the market leaders for docking and interfacing equipment, sees great opportunities to increase the market share in the Taiwanese market. In order to reach this target Turbodynamics successfully participated at the Semicon Taiwan. As Co-Exhibitor on the Multitest booth we had a very strong interest from different customers visiting our booth.

System integration program with Multitest
As many of our customers already know, Turbodynamics & Multitest work close together. Turbodynamics is proud to be part of this program to offer well-known docking and interface solutions.
Turbodynamics at the Semicon Europe Dresden:Successful CAST workgroup at SEMICON Europe, Dresden 2010
Turbodynamics President, Stefan Thurmaier and Marius Graef Sales & Service Manager participating at the Docking and Mounting Interface Workgroup meeting recently held during the SEMICON EUROPE exhibition in Dresden.
The majority of attendees were suppliers of final test equipment and several equipment users, expressed their commitment. The workgroup defined the general goal of its activities as follows:- Improve time to market
- Improve efficiency and save cost
- Easy supply chain management
These targets must be achieved by reducing the complexity of the communication between equipment users and vendors, as well as minimizing the danger of miscommunication and communication errors.
Based on the recent workgroup, the next steps will be to work on standard terminology and reference points for the mechanical interfaces of probers, handlers, testers, dockings, contactors and load boards. These terminology standards will ensure that in the communication between vendors and users but also between vendors and vendors a common language is used.
What is CAST?
Collaborative Alliance for
Semiconductor Test (CAST)
CAST was formed in 2008 by semiconductor device makers and test industry suppliers to engage in and resolve common industry issues related to higher test equipment utilization, lower costs, and greater standardization and return on test-related R&D. CAST members include a range of semiconductor industry leaders from automated test equipment (ATE) companies, integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) companies. In 2009, CAST became a SEMI Special Interest Group to develop, coordinate and direct all SEMI services for the semiconductor test community.
